MINT Landowner Permission Form

Help us record the Isle of Man's most notable trees. This short form lets you choose exactly what you're happy for us to do — it takes less than five minutes.

The Manx Inventory of Notable Trees (MINT) is a public record of the Isle of Man's most special trees — the oldest, largest, and most historically important. If a notable tree stands on your land, we would love to record it, but only with your permission.

Each question below is a separate choice. You can say yes to some things and no to others, and you can change your mind at any time.

1. About you

What is your relationship to the tree or land?

2. The tree(s)

Can the tree be seen or reached from a public road, footpath, or right of way?

3. Your permissions

Each question below is separate. You can say Yes to some and No to others — it is entirely your choice.

Do you give Manx Roots Ltd permission to access your land to measure and record this tree for the MINT list?
Do you give Manx Roots Ltd permission to take photographs of this tree for our records?
Are you happy for Manx Roots Ltd to publish general information about this tree — such as its species, size, and notable features — as part of the public MINT list? (No names or addresses will be published.)
Are you happy for the tree's location to be published (for example, shown on a map) as part of the public MINT list?

If this tree is on private land and not visible from a public place, you may prefer to say no here, to avoid people seeking it out on your property.

4. Consent and declaration

To see how we look after your information, please read our MINT privacy notice.
